D-JETS WIN!
NetJets Stop Perpetual Motion
Nationwide Arena – NetJets put an end to the 4 game losing streak
last Sunday with an action packed victory over Perpetual Motion. The win keeps NetJets playoff hopes alive for at least another
week.
From the first face off the pace was fast and never let up. NetJets had three full lines to work with and used that
run short shifts and keep up the pace of the game. The D Jets posted the first goal of the game at 6:28 of the first period.
#47 Joe Ruby put the puck past the goalie on a great feed from former goalie #10 Matt Larimore. Perpetual Motion responded
rapidly with a goal of their own during a power play at 9:24 of the first.
Second period started with both teams eager to break the tie. The back and forth action made for an exciting game but
the period ended at 1-1. Guest goalie Dave Whitewolfe earned his pay with some fantastic stops that clearly frustrated Perpetual
Motion.
With both teams wanting the win the third period was hectic. And just when it looked like there would be some overtime
action #75 Paul Murchie hit the back of the net unassisted with only 1:08 to go. That goal brought Perpetual Motion to a stop
and moved NetJets up one place in the standings.
Come on out and cheer for you home team this Sunday when they face
the Blue Dragoons. Face off is at 6:20pm at Ciller North. This will be the 6th meeting between the two teams.
